Cookie Policy
Last updated May 12, 2026.
Hylo uses cookies and similar storage technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) to make the product work and to understand how people use it. This page lists everything we set, why, and how to turn off what you can.
This policy is part of our Privacy Policy.
Essential cookies
These keep Hylo working. You can't opt out without breaking the app.
| Name | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication cookies | Hylo (via auth provider) | Keeps you signed in. HTTP-only, secure cookies. |
| OAuth state | Hylo (via auth provider) | OAuth flow safety (PKCE). |
| UI preferences (localStorage) | Hylo | Remembers sidebar collapsed state, theme preferences, recent draft state across reloads. |
Analytics cookies
These help us understand which features people use and where Hylo gets stuck. We use privacy-conscious tools and don't sell or share this data.
| Name | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Hylo (via analytics provider) | Product analytics — which pages, which features, success rates. Anonymous by default. |
| Error tracking | Hylo (via error-tracking provider) | Captures JS errors with stack traces so we can fix bugs. |
How to opt out
- Browser settings. All major browsers let you block cookies for specific sites. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out.
- Do Not Track. We honor the “Do Not Track” signal where technically feasible.
- Analytics opt-out. Email us at hello@tryhylo.com and we'll add your account to the analytics exclusion list.
